Andy Slattery trained 12/1 chance Blank Hand to score here yesterday and the Killenaule handler took the handicap chase on today's card too when Pagan Magic came home best under Davy Russell to complete a double for the rider.
The Youghal rider had earlier scored aboard Grand Lahou for Arthur Moore so he was completing a 51/1 double in this two mile five furlong event.
Pagan Magic, is a course winner having landed a flat handicap here for Tom McCourt back in 2006 and he got up close home to beat Bemo Two by half a length.
Slattery, the man who started Cooldine and Quel Esprit on the road to the top, said: "He is owned by a neighbour of mine in Martin Brennan. I might run him again at Thurles on Thursday and that will be it until the summer because he wants really goodish ground. Davy Condon was the man who gave us the key to him and the secret is to switch him off. Davy (Russell) gave him a brilliant ride there." Borolee with Ruby Walsh deputising for Sean Flanagan, didn't jump well and the even money favourite had to settle for third, two and a half lengths further back.
