Skerray Rules serves up a 20/1 shock From 13th turning into the home straight, Skerray Rules picked up really well in the last furlong and a half to cut down her rivals and win division two of the apprentice handicap at Dundalk. The 20/1 shot was drawn 13 of 14 and raced wide in the straight but found plenty for Conor Hoban to hit the front inside the final 150 yards. Red Words (10/1) got up for second, ahead of another 10/1 chance Elusive In Paris. Skerray Rules had been unplaced in her previous five appearances. She had blinkers on for the first time this evening and won this off a mark of 53. Trainer Michael Halford said: "She was a late foal who has take a while to get the hang of things and we put the blinkers on tonight. She was drawn wide and I told Conor to take his time and to creep his way into it. "She's very straightforward and is a half-sister to Secret Asset (beaten a short-head by Tangerine Trees in 2011 Prix de l'Abbaye) who was a good sprinter for Jane Chapple-Hyam."
