Six Feet Apart took well to hurdles in the Tattersalls Ireland 3-Y-O Maiden Hurdle at Fairyhouse.
Joseph O'Brien 's Mount Nelson filly got in as first reserve when Bynx was ruled out.
The 5/2 favourite Laishann weakened quickly approaching the home straight as the race soon boiled down to a match between Six Feet Apart and Doctor Brown Bear
The latter strongly challenged Six Feet Apart two out and the leader went for a big jump at the last which she got and landed full of running under JJ Slevin.
She outgunned Doctor Brown Bear (6/1) on the run-in by two lengths to win at 10/3. There was a seven-length gap back to third-placed Vocito at 7/2.
Assistant trainer Brendan Powell said: “It was a nice performance. Peter (Savill) has always wanted to send her jumping.
“She ran a lovely race first time out when she was third and we thought she'd win at the Curragh the other day (when seventh). She cruised into it beautifully, Declan (McDonogh) wasn't sure whether she got the trip or not but it wasn't that because all she did was stay today.
“She jumped lovely, travelled beautifully, he said they didn't go much of a pace. She stuck at it well.
“She's a very big filly and she's still quite raw. I'd say there will be a lot of improvement in every way, even with her jumping. Hopefully he's got a nice filly on his hands for the season.”
The form of Six Feet Apart's third place behind Champion Green on the Flat at Punchestown in September is working out very well.
