Singsong Lady was the 25/1 winner of Dundalk's Irish Stallion Farms EBF (Fillies) Maiden today, scoring on her second career start for trainer Gavin Cromwell and jockey Conor Maxwell.

The daughter of Cotai Glory had finished tenth of 15 on her only previous outing at Naas last September and today reappeared, travelling well in mid-field before quickening to lead inside the final furlong and defeat Silk Damask by three parts of a length.

Cromwell later reported “she’s a lovely big scopey filly and loved that surface. I’m not sure where I’ll go with her next but it’s nice to win a maiden with her.

“She’s a big, tall lady and we gave her a break after her run in Naas and she has come on plenty for it.

“She’s come home well and when she got there she’s pricked her ears as well. She won snug enough.

“I’ve always thought she’s like that surface. We’ll have a look a see what there is here for her and if not we might put her away. She probably wants nice ground.”
