Odds-on Asangy dropped out to beat only one home on his Irish debut, and in-form pair Gordon Elliott and Jack Kennedy were at it again here as the Gigginstown House Stud-owned Everyday Everyhour took the honours in the Festival Dreams Begin In Ireland With Irish Thoroughbred Marketing Maiden Hurdle at Punchestown.
It didn't stop there for the Cullentra House trainer though, as he also saddled the second and third, Lake Malawi (Luke Dempsey) and Miro (Kevin Sexton).
Everyday Everyhour led home his stable companions at distances of seven lengths and eight lengths.
"Jack gave him a great ride, and he was a bit keen early. He'll stay jumping hurdles for the summer, and we'll see how we go. Willie's horse (Mullins' favourite, Saturnas coming out made it a bit easier, and it's great to have a 1-2-3," commented Elliott.
D.F. O'Regan, rider of Asangy (ITY), trained by Alan Fleming, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount never travelled.
The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Asangy (ITY), trained by Alan Fleming, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be blowing hard post race.
Alan Fleming, trainer of Asangy (ITY), reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his charge scoped abnormally.
Owing to the low lying sun, the Stewards granted permission for hurdle number two to be omitted from the fourth, fifth and sixth race.
