Seanjohnsilver ran out another massive priced winner in Ireland this season when scoring at 150/1 at Tipperary this afternoon.
John McConnell 's charge had failed to beat a horse home on four outings this year since joining the yard.
He left that form well behind today chasing down long-time leader Mi Esperanza in the closing stages of the Tipperary Handicap over five furlongs.
Gary Carroll got a good tune from the Power gelding inside the final furlong as he recorded a length-and-a-quarter success.
"He was missing the breaks catastrophically and in fairness to Colin Keane, who rode him the last day, said to take the crossed noseband off him as he resented it," said McConnell.
"We did and he pinged out of stalls at home yesterday and if you look back on his old form in England he was probably well handicapped.
"It was very hard to have confidence with him and the noseband was the only thing we changed; he jumped fine for us at Dundalk in the past but all of a sudden started doing it and we were definitely on our last legs with him.
"I hope the owner had something on because I was just hoping he'd jump out!
"He is owned by David Reilly, a very nice fellow from Dublin."
