Sicilian Secret looked a class act when claiming the Eamon Sheridan Plant Novice Hurdle at Ballinrobe.
Willie Mullins charge had been easy to back this morning (11/10 to 6/4) but was just preferred to Ninth Legion (7/4) in the market.
David Casey settled his mount in third before tackling front-runner Ninth Legion on the bend for home.
The Flemensfirth gelding swept to the front approaching the last and Casey never had to move as he cantered to a five length success.
The winner had taken a long-time to get off the mark over timber last season but looked well suited by the summer ground here.
"He jumped super and he loves that ground," reported Casey afterwards.
The winning jockey has enjoyed a fine run since coming back from his honeymoon, recording his sixth winner in a fortnight here.
