Sherwood takes opener at Leopardstown Sherwood Forest from the Aidan O’Brien stable justified his short price when taking the opening Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden at Leopardstown. Johnny Murtagh who guided the 6/4 favourite to victory hit the front under a furlong out and kept on well to score by three parts of a length Winning jockey Murtagh said afterwards: “He has improved from his first run, he’s still a bit green but he did it very well in the end.”
