Pleasure Dome gets the last wrong but it was no problem to Danny Mullins after© Photo Healy Racing
Owner John Turner had a result to remember with a win for his greyhound Jaytee Jordan in the Oaks at Shelbourne Park last Saturday night, and the English man struck again in the Tramore opener with Pleasure Dome
Gowran trainer Paul Hennessy only recently purchased Jaytee Jordan for Turner, and the Sporting Press Irish Oaks was always a race the powerful owner craved. Jaytee Jordan's incredible early pace proved too much for her rivals to handle.
In contrast Danny Mullins was content to wait aboard the Willie Mullins-trained Pleasure Dome, but when she didn't get the last two fences right, eventual second Cotton Jenny had her chance again in the David Flynn Ltd. Beginners Chase.
Seven to four favourite Pleasure Dome's more serious error was at the last, but Danny Mullins wasn't taking no for an answer afterwards and he forced the Makfi mare home by half a length.
There was a twelve length gap back to Highandmighty in third.
"She is probably not a natural jumper and she is probably lucky to win that," admitted the winning trainer.
He then added: "She threw it away at the last and Danny just got her up in the shadow of the post as they say. We'll mix it with her on the Flat and over hurdles for the summer.
"She'll handle anything. I think she'll give John (Turner) some fun over the summer.
"John's dog won the Oaks at Shelbourne the other night."
Paul Hennessy accepted the prize on behalf of Turner.
