Mikey Sheehy did a good job to settle the free-going The Lady’s Bid in division two of the 45-65 handicap over 9f, and after about half a mile the daughter of Famous Name dropped the bit in rear of mid-division.
Brought stands’ side in the straight, she raced away from the furlong marker to defeat the slow-starting 4/1 favourite Attack At Dawn by three and a half lengths, with Loudest Whisper (14/1) back in third.
Paddy Rogers’ filly had won on quick ground at Navan last term, where she provided Sheehy with his first winner.
The winning rider Mikey Sheehy commented: "I rode my first winner on this filly and she’s done it easy again today.
“She switched off lovely and when I asked her to quicken up in the straight she quickened up very well.
“I wasn’t worried about the ground. I said to Paddy after she won in Navan that she wouldn’t mind a cut in the ground and she proved it there today.”
