'Shark' Hanlon was pretty confident following the win of Western Leader that it wouldn't be the last time that he'd be briefing the press on the day and so it proved as half-an-hour later he was welcoming back the well-backed Misala winner of the Killinan Maiden Hurdle under Davy Russell.
Misala just edged his big market rival, Good Time Donie on the run-in, to prevail by a neck, in the colours of Hanlon's partner, Rachel O'Neill.
Formerly with Adrian Sexton, Misala was having his first start for his new connections here and Hanlon said: "I only have him six or seven weeks and he is really a big chaser. He'll have a break now and come back then for Punchestown."
