Sexton wins opener at Thurles

The opening race this afternoon at Thurles, The Templemore Mares Maiden Hurdle was won by the Adrian Sexton trained Dunroe Lady ridden by Ian McCarthy and owned by the Dunroe Racing Syndicate.

McCarthy was prominent throughout, led approaching straight, was clear from before 2 out and kept on well to win by 4 lengths.
