Second Claimer success for Timourid There were no claims made in Dundalk's opening On Twitter @DundalkStadium Claiming Race today, with easy winner Timourid (3/1f) set to return home to winning owner/trainer James McAuley's Co Meath yard. The Aga Khan-bred son of Gleneagles won twice previously for trainer Denis Hogan and having been claimed for €13,000 following a same course and distance success in October, today scored readily, under jockey Luke McAteer, from Rocky Dreams. Afterwards McAuley reported “we probably ran him back a bit too quick after claiming him and I’d say he’s better with a couple of weeks gap between his races. “He beat a horse of ours, Malaysian, the day we claimed him and that grade probably suits him. He’s done it well and seven (furlongs) was probably a bit short for him last time. “We’ve got a win out of him and he’s in to be claimed for €15,000. If someone claims him off us we can’t moan as we’re regularly doing it. He’s a grand fun horse and will be kept busy up here.” There were no claims for Timourid or any of the beaten 11 horses.
