Seattle Creek brings up 90/1 double for in-form O'Connor Donagh O’Connor recorded his second double at Dundalk this year and brought his tally to six winners in the past fortnight as Seattle Creek opened his account in the Irishinjuredjockeys.com Maiden. The well-bred son of Harzand, a half-brother to Raa Atoll who won a German Group 2 for the same connections, cost 70,000 guineas as a yearling and is now starting to repay that investment having shown plenty of promise last year. Luke Comer’s charge and the odds-on favourite Elzaamsan drew clear from over a furlong and O’Connor’s mount got well on top in the closing stages to score by a-length-and-a-half at odds of 100/30. There was a yawning gap of eight-and-a-half-lengths back to Razdan in third. Comer's assistant Jim Gorman said, "It took a while, I thought he'd win his maiden before now. “He's a half-brother to Raa Atoll who wasn't a real horse until he was four. Raa Atoll won the Group 2 for us in Germany. “I think this fella is the same and the longer the year goes the stronger he'll be. He was a weak horse and I think this will be his year. “He'll stay further, he'll stay a mile-and-six and two miles.” O'Connor was also on the mark earlier aboard 20/1 chance Jerod Maddox. (GC & AM)
