The opening Tote Placepot Races 1 to 6 Claiming Race was won by the David Wachman trained Scrupulous who arrived late to win under Wayne Lordan.
Scrupulous appeared to have plenty to do over a furlong out, but responded well under Lordan to get her head in front inside the final furlong, scoring a length and a half success over Aseasyas
Wachman was absent but Lordan did state “Scrupulous is a grand filly but was still a little green when she hit the front.”
