Favourite backers will have enjoyed the Final Day Of The Irish Flat Season Race at Naas as 15/8 chance Real Force justified his market position in style.
The grey missed a couple of engagements since his last Irish appearance, when winning at Tipperary in August, and he was here securing a second Naas victory. He was second in France at the beginning of October.
The now three-year-old scored at the first time of asking, at the Kildare venue in April 2019.
A 25/1 shot on that occasion, there were no such fancy prices this afternoon, but those that invested in Ger O’Leary’s charge, never had much cause for anxiety.
Real Force made all and he was pushed along two furlongs out.
The son of Lethal Force quickened clear a furlong out, staying on strongly to easily defeat Silver Service by four lengths.
Chris Hayes did the steering and Adrian Joyce, assistant trainer to O’Leary, said: “That was a good performance. He’s done nothing wrong all year and he’s been very consistent. We’ve minded him and he goes on the soft ground.
“We’ll have him back early next year, and there might be a possibility of him going to the Saudi Cup meeting on February 20.
“Things are going well and we have a nice bunch of yearlings for next year.”
