San Andreas leads home Ballydoyle 1-2-3 The opening maiden in Naas for juvenile colts and gelding was dominated by Aidan O'Brien who supplied the first three home. The Corporal led under Michael Hussey but was collared by stablemate, and 11/10 favourite, San Andreas and Donnacha O'Brien in the final 150 yards of this six-furlong race. Ferretti (4/1) stormed home from fourth a furlong out to get to within half a length of the winner at the line. The Corporal (18/1) held on for third, a further length away. Aidan O'Brien said: “He's a hardy horse and he's going to take another run of two before he comes together. “You'd be very happy with him and he came forward lovely from the last day. He's still a baby but you'd be delighted with that. “I don't know if there's much left for him now. “He's not slow, he's going to have plenty of speed and he's going to be quick enough next year. You'd hope that he might get a mile. “The other horses improved on their last runs which was good.” San Andreas was having his second start having come home fourth over seven furlongs at this track at the start of the month.
