Co Tipperary trainer John Ryan gave his daughter Gillian her first winner on the track after she took the concluding Ballynoe (Pro/Am) Flat Race at Downpatrick.
Ryan an engineering student in UCD made all on the Woods of Windsor gelding and kept on well in the closing stages to hold off the fast finishing Clonard Lad and Patrick Mullins.
A delighted winning trainer Ryan said afterwards: "The was fantastic, i'm delighted for Gillian. This is a great little horse he was only broken this year."
"This horse came from Mick Aherne's who was tremendous family friend of ours who sadly died of liver cancer last year."
"The horse is named after his home place Foildubh so this win means a lot to us."
