Fairyhill Run a chance ride for Bryan Cooper, routed the opposition in the Newcastlewest Handicap Chase to complete a near 21/1 double on the day for in-form trainer John Ryan at Limerick.
Danny Mullins partnered the first leg of Ryan’s double aboard Grange Walk (6/1) in the opening Adare Beginners Chase but was stood down after a fall in the second race.
Cooper, who had just one booked ride at Limerick in the opener, was on his way out of the track when getting the call from Ryan and he proved a fortunate late replacement.
The well-backed 85/40 favourite, who was making it three wins from her last five starts, jumped for fun in front and took command in the straight galloping on strongly to score by all of 14 lengths.
Second reserve Our Friend took the runner-up spot with Centurion Steel a length further back in third and My Oakclahome completed the places in fourth.
Ryan said, “I’m sorry for Danny whose confidence is really on fire at the moment. I think the news is good so hopefully he’ll be okay.
“Bryan rode that mare a few times before and was good on her.
“That’s a real good mare and she’ll go next for the Blazers at Galway.”
