John Ryan had snapped a lengthy losing run when Barbaha Queen won the fifth at Clonmel and the Templemore handler had further cause for celebration when saddling a one-two in the concluding Clonmel Show July 7th Handicap Chase.
Shane Fitzgerald had won the opener on Walnut Beach and completed a double of his own here as Kilashee (11/1) made all the running to win in the colours of the Bitview Partnership.
Clear for a long way, the daughter of Oscar turned in with a considerably reduced advantage but went again to account for veteran stablemate Father Jed by a length and a quarter.
Ryan said: "It was about time we got going (form-wise)! Kilashee always runs well here and both those two horses finished well ahead of the third. Father Jed might have been unlucky not to have won.
"The two horses live together out in a field."
He added "Shane is a good lad, is with me a few days a week and rode his first seven or eight winners as a conditional jockey for me."
