The two-mile handicap hurdle at Navan produced a dramatic finish when Lastoftheleaders was left in front.
The well-backed 7/2 favourite (from 5/1) was challenging in second when leader Marlay Park stumbled a few strides after the final flight and unseated Danny Mullins.
It left Davy Russell to come home clear on the Arthur Moore-trained gelding, recording an eight-length success over Bale O'Shea
It was a quick double for Russell, following on from the victory of War Of Attrition in the previous contest.
"Davy said he was a bit awkward but when he met them right he was very good," said Moore.
"I thought the track would suit better today as it's more galloping. I don't think we'll do too much more over hurdles.
"He'll go chasing. He's built to be a chaser and bred to be a chaser. I just thought he was entitled to get a hurdle on the way."
Danny Mullins was sore after the fall, suffering soft tissue injuries to his left hip.
