Davy Russell made an excellent reappearance at Cork today, recording a hat-trick of winners, culminating with Archie Boy s win in the Newberry Beginners Chase.
Russell was substituting for the stood-down Andrew McNamara on Archie's Boy, who eventually proved six lengths too strong for Farinelli
Afterwards winning trainer Paul Flynn reported "Archie Boy was a tricky horse and I was told never to run him right-handed - he used to hang badly going left-handed but Davy (Russell) said that going either direction should not now be an issue."
