Reigning Champion Jockey Davy Russell is odds-on (best priced at 4/5) to retain his crown for the 2012-13 season, in his bid to again see off the challenge of eight times Champion Ruby Walsh for the title.
Russell, runner-up five times before winning his first title last season, is currently seven winners ahead of Walsh (73-66) at the head of the Jockeys' Championship with third placed Paul Townend on 48 winners.
Russell is best priced at 4/5 (Stan James) with Walsh generally an 11/10 chance. Barry Geraghty is next best at 20/1 along with 2011/12 winner Townend and twice Champion Paul Carberry (currently with 38 winners).
