Fresh from his four-timer at Navan on Saturday and just half-an-hour after his third placing on War Of Attrition in the John Durkan, Davy Russell kept his supporters happy by getting Kilcrea Castle home by three parts of a length in the Weatherbys Ireland GSB Handicap Chase.
Gamble of the contest, Merchent Paddy departed when brought down by the fall of View Mount Prince six fences from home. Meanwhile Bluesea Cracker met some interference when Kilcrea Castle jumped left two out but following an enquiry the result was left stand.
