"The ride he got was the job! He is a bit daft like his dam and he wasn't looking at what he was doing at the first and he just took a chance at it," said Ted Walsh after his Old Castletown won his second race at the festival 2016 to enhance a splendid Tramore record in the Heinz Pollmeier Memorial Handicap Chase.
It looked 'curtains' for the favourite when he made a dreadful blunder at the first when leading.
Ruby Walsh was then forced to nurse his mount back into things from the rear, which he did splendidly to eventually have two and three parts of a length in hand over Swantykay
"The dam gave Ruby a few bad falls and won a couple. He was a bit revved today after running the other day," added Walsh senior.
"He switched off after that (the mistake) and Ruby took his time on him. He was under no pressure after that, had he come back in and said he wasn't operating I would have said fine.
"It's great he won and I've no plans for him. He might go to Listowel if the ground was quick. There is not too many places you can go with him unless you move into the 0-123s. He has two won in a week now anyway."
