Jim Dreaper will give Royal De La Thinte an entry at Cheltenham following the gelding’s all-the-way success in the Punchestown Hospitality Beginners Chase at Punchestown today.
Ridden by Andrew Lynch, the son of Cachet Noir jumped well, and while Some Target did pose some threat early in the straight, a bad blunder by him, left Royal De La Thinte to coast to an easy win.
Afterwards Dreaper joked “I’ve been told by a few people that he is a real ‘Dreaper’ horse as he is slow but stays going!”
He added “he is a very talented horse but I went with him to the start today as he refused to start in a point to point once. I’ll enter him for the RSA Chase and the Four Miler at Cheltenham and he may run next in a three miles conditions race at Naas in a few weeks time.”
