The Leopardstown November Handicap saw a very impressive winner in the Dermot Weld trained Rite Of Passage after he ran out an eight length winner under Pat Smullen making it a double on the day for trainer and jockey.
Kris Weld son of winning trainer said afterwards: “He’s a high class horse and he jumps really well. We will hopefully comeback here at Christmas time for a hurdle race.”
“I think we’ll have a lot to look forward to when he starts his hurdling campaign. He stays very well and he has a touch of class.”
“It was all over as soon as he hit the front. We will probably start him off hurdling over two miles.”
