Riser responds well to dashing Fogarty drive Blinkered once in her time on the level cross-channel with Charlie Hills, Social Riser today fitted with first-time cheek-pieces landed the opening Book Hospitality On Line Maiden Hurdle at Naas. Mikey Fogarty made the most of the High Chaparral filly's previous hurdling experience, sending her to the front from the 'get-go.' Clear from before the fourth, the Eurosoaker Syndicate-owned and Ken Condon-trained four-year-old came back to her pursuers approaching the second last. However Social Riser found plenty for pressure to confirm Fairyhouse form with I'll Be Your Clown (mistake two out), by five lengths. Turbojet made a promising first start in third, a further two and a half lengths back. "She'd a couple of runs over hurdles. Ideally it would be great to get a lead but I wanted a truly run race. I had a quick run around the track beforehand and the ground is not too bad," remarked Fogarty. (AM & EM)
