Renneti justified odds-on favouritism in Sligo's classy five horse second race, the Martin Reilly BMW Dealer Hurdle, scoring under Ruby Walsh for Willie Mullins.
Second in the Grade 1 Royal Bond in December of 2013 the six-year-old son of Irish Wells was last seen in April of 2014 when he refused to race at Fairyhouse.
He was again reluctant to race at the start today but once given a few reminders he got going.
Having raced in mid-division he improved into second after two out and he was ridden out to reel in Arnaud on the run-in, going on to score by two lengths.
The runner-up was returned at 6/4 (from 15/8) under Davy Russell for Charles Byrnes.
The winner was as big as 6/4 last night with Paddy Power but that price was quickly taken and he opened on-course at just 4/5 before going off a 9/10 chance.
Ruby Walsh said afterwards: "He had a little think about it at the start but he is behaving himself well at home.
"He is a horse with a lot of natural ability and the key is to keep his mind right. I didn't want to commit too early but he stuck his head out and done it well."
