The Michael Halford-trained Raydara looked a nice prospect when making all the running to claim the median auction maiden at Leopardstown in fine style.
Shane Foley set a strong pace on the Aga Khan filly and she stayed on powerfully in the closing stages to post a two-and-three-quarter length verdict in the seven furlong contest. Sacrificial ran on well in the closing stages to take the second, without troubling the winner.
Raydara, sent off 4/6 favourite, had been a promising second in a strong looking Curragh maiden on her debut last month.
“She did it well. She had a very good draw so there was no point not taking advantage of it. The plan was to jump out and if she found herself in front well and good,” said Halford.
“She's a beautiful mover and has a high cruising speed. Shane said it was very hard to judge how fast he was going. I think she's just a smart filly.
“She has an entry for a Group 3 here next week but that might be a bit quick. She's also in the Debutante.
"She could be a smart filly. She loves fast ground, is very straight-forward and very professional."
