Ramsa landed a gamble as she took the opener at Naas this afternoon, the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Maiden, under jockey/trainer John Egan.
The daughter of Shamardal was 10/1 this morning with Paddy Powers but she opened on-course at just 5/1 and was backed into 7/2 at the off.
She hit the front in the early straight and just held off the late lunge of the 2/1 favourite, Ballydoyle newcomer One True Love by a nose at the line.
The winner was appearing for the third time today and having finished a close second on her debut over the course and distance in April, she disappointed on her last start over a mile at Leopardstown.
Egan said afterwards: "Its good quick ground. It is probably too quick for her. I wasn’t sure if I had held on. Being by Shamardal she likes an ease in the ground.
"We’ll probably look at a Group 3 in France for her now as there is a 70% premium as she is French bred.
"She met with some early trouble at Leopardstown the last day."
The winner was purchased by Egan at the Arqana Saint-Cloud 2yo Breeze Up Sale in May of last year for €52,000.
The stewards fined Dermot Weld 130 euro for lodging a passport in respect of Lapis Blue in which the vaccinations did not conform with the provisions of Rule 91. The stewards allowed the horse to run on receipt of the trainer's written assurance that the vaccinations were in order. Lapis Blue finished 10th of the 12 runners.
