Quick return unlikely for Tharawaat

Impressive Navan winner Tharawaat is unlikely to turn out again quickly for the Grade 3 Irish Rover Bar, New York Juvenile Hurdle at Fairyhouse on Sunday.

Trainer Gordon Elliott has Leopardstown at Christmas on the agenda for the Alhaarth gelding, who slammed his field by 23-lengths when scoring last Sunday.

"I'm not sure if he will run. I put him in because the entry wasn't massive and I'll wait to Friday to make a decision," said Elliott. "It's more likely that we'll keep him for Leopardstown at Christmas."
