Quick double for Walsh as Danny wins easily After winning the first aboard Loyalty Card Ruby Walsh quickly followed-up in the second, the Brandon Hotel Maiden Hurdle, as he guided Uncle Danny to a convincing success. A winner of a bumper at the Punchestown Festival in 2014 the son of Catcher In The Rye finished a good third on his debut over flights at Naas before disappointing on his next two starts when sent off favourite. Having his first start since January the John Queally trained gelding was well-fancied to shed his maiden tag today and he went off the clear 8/11 favourite in the colours of the LWL Syndicate. He's an out-an-out chaser, it's in his pedigree, and he will go over fences soon. I wasn't sure how much pace there would be, and I left it up to Ruby whether to go on or not.
