Tim Carroll notched a quick double and reduced his claim to 7lb when making all on Bashkirov in the 1m4f conditions race at Dundalk. Emmpat threw down a challenge over a furlong from home but couldn't match Luke Comer's charge, who ran out a cosy two-length winner.
It was a third winner on the level for promising claimer Carroll, who had scored on Dark Prospect half an hour earlier.
"He's very good around here but then he's very good anywhere if he gets the right ground," said Comer.
"We'll stick to these kind of races but he'll be moving up before the year is out."
Jumping could be a possibility during the summer although Comer added: "He's not mad about soft ground."
