Punters go Bust with 33/1 winner The absence of Drive On Locky (lame) from the three-mile handicap hurdle at Limerick let in second reserve Gone Bust, and the 33/1 outsider took full advantage for a shock win. Adrian Heskin took the mount on the seven-year-old gelding who had failed to trouble the judge in six previous outings under rules, although he was placed a number of times between the flags. Owned and trained by Martin Cullinane near Athenry, the gelding challenged two out and stayed on well under pressure on the run-in to beat Mines River (20/1) by over three lengths. Easy To See was a further length and a half back in third, with Seaboru in fourth. Martin Cullinane said, “He’d a good run when he was placed behind Chute Hall in our local point-to-point at Belclare. They went too quick for him at Navan last time. I was afraid he wouldn’t get home today but they went steady and it worked out well.” Additional reporting by Thomas Weekes
