Power Down progresses to win on start two The Foran Equine Irish EBF Auction Maiden (Plus 10 Race) at Bellewstown went the way of the Nick Bradley Racing Club-owned and Gordon Elliott-trained Power Down. Like Gloves Lynch for the same connections at Carlisle last week, Power Down was another juvenile to shed his maiden tag at the second time of asking. Runner-up Queen Ryker (9/2 into 7/2 favourite) was eye-catching, coming from eighth on the outer a furlong and a half out, to get within half a length of Power Down (8/1) at the line. "Declan (McDonogh, winning jockey) said he'd improve again as he was a bit green and hit the road. He hit the line well and I'd say he's versatile enough distance wise," said Elliott. "A lot of our two-year-olds are improving a lot. We knew they weren't right at the start of the season and the horses are flying at the moment. "We'll get him home and see how he is. With the syndicate that own him they all have to be sold at some stage." W.J. Lee, rider of Jarrocho, trained by David Marnane, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount received slight accidental interference in the straight. R.P. Whelan, rider of Nonstop Talker, trained by M.Halford, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount ran green. A.J. Slattery, rider of Don't Tell Ronan, trained by E. J.
