Power, de Bromhead & Robcour double up with Tiger Tiger Voice stayed on best in the closing stages to claim the beginners chase at Galway and land a double on the card for his connections. Like January Jets in the opener the Henry de Bromhead-trained gelding was ridden to victory by Robbie Power in the colours of Robcour. Konitho lead them into the home-straight in the two-mile-two contest but couldn't hold the surge of Tiger Voice inside the final furlong. The Poet's Voice gelding, sent off the 3/1 favourite, galloped on strongly in the closing stages to post a two length win over long-time leader Ballymacaw, who stayed on again close home. Tiger Voice was making his first start since finishing mid-division in the Country Hurdle at Cheltenham. Power said:- "he jumped super - he reached for one but apart from that he was very good. We didn't go that quick and it suited him as he has plenty speed for that trip "He is only a five year old and we were a bit disappointed with him over hurdles to be honest as he didn't fulfill what he was showing at home. "He'll improve plenty for today." (Quotes by Tom Weekes)
