There is plenty of Irish interest in the UK this afternoon with Group 1 Flat action at Doncaster and a large representation again at Cheltenham where the jumps season starts to move up a gear.

Aidan O’Brien has won the William Hill Futurity Trophy Stakes a record 11 times and the master of Ballydoyle this time relies on Delacroix, successful in the Group 3 Emirates Autumn Stakes at Newmarket a fortnight ago, in the final Group 1 of the UK season.

The Jessica Harrington-trained Hotazhell is among his seven rivals and the son of Too Darn Hot also won over a mile last time in the Group 2 Montane Developments Beresford Stakes at the Curragh.

There were two Irish-trained winners at Cheltenham yesterday afternoon with Gavin Cromwell’s Path D’oroux landing the odds in the novice chase and Impero also scoring for Cian Collins.

Cromwell saddles Vanillier in the €100,000 William Hill Committed To Top Prizes Handicap Chase while Henry de Bromhead is doubly represented by Senior Chief and The Short Go in the feature at Prestbury Park.
