Plans fluid for Chazzesmee after missing Lincoln

Fozzy Stack is undecided about future targets for last year’s Irish Lincoln winner Chazzesmee after plans were foiled for a repeat bid last month.

The lightly raced seven-year-old gelding justified strong support in the Nua Healthcare Irish Lincolnshire and was also sent off favourite when fifth the following weekend in the UK equivalent at Doncaster.

Chazzesmee has been absent since finishing in rear in the Group 3 Al Basti Equiworld International Stakes at the Curragh last June and a setback prevented another Lincoln assault.

“He just had a small issue about two weeks before the Irish Lincoln but is back now riding out and cantering away,” said Stack before adding: “It’s a bit early to say where he might go yet.

“The plan was to go for both Lincoln’s, so we’ll have to come up with another plan now.”
