Liam Cashman who celebrated his birthday today received the perfect present when his son Paul carried his colours to victory when Swift Lord landed the Ballydugan Flat Race by a cosy four and a half lengths.
Winning rider and trainer Cashman said afterwards: “He’s a very good horse and as good as one I’ve had in a long time.”
“He only finished sixth the last day in Listowel but he takes a run to get himself right. He loves the quick ground and I was a bit afraid of the track.”
“He’s entered in the November sales at Cheltenham so we’ll see what happens.”
