Vincent O'Brien who celebrated his 92nd Birthday today received the perfect present when he won the opening race at Tipperary this evening The Breeze Up Bonus EBF Maiden with Lastkingofscotland trained by his son Charles and ridden by Fran Berry.
Winning trainer Charles O'Brien said afterwards, "He's a nice little horse, I didn't think he'd know enough to win first time out. Not really too sure where to go next, we'll probably stick to handicaps with him."
O'Brien added, "I spoke to my father this morning he is in great form, he winters in Australia and will be home at the weekend."
