Peace gains third win of year The Ger Lyons-trained Rock In Peace opened his account on turf when claiming the seven-furlong rated race at Limerick. After breaking quickly the 3/1 shot was quickly headed by Branch Line. Gary Carroll asked his mount to give chase to that rival a furlong-and-a-half from home. He gained a narrow advantage passing the furlong marker and asserted in the closing stages to post a three-parts-of-a length victory. The winner was gaining his third success this year having recorded two wins on the all-weather at Dundalk in January. "It was a nice performance and Gary said he is learning to settle - he used to be keen,” said assistant Andrew Duff afterwards. "He's a small little horse and loves the sound surface and is thriving on his racing. He's doing everything right and we'll keep going with him. As long as he keeps doing that we're happy."
