Paris gets the job done After a string of placed efforts, Elusive In Paris got a deserved win to his name, as he took the opener at Dundalk, the Greyhound Racing Dundalk Claiming Race. Settled in mid-division, the Johnny Feane trained eight-year-old closed on the leaders entering the straight, and hit the front with just under two furlongs to race. He was soon ridden clear, and kept on well to score by a length under Gary Halpin for owner Orla Reynolds. Recent Clonmel winner Indian Tomahawk (7/1) ran on to take second under Shane Foley for Damien English, while the well-supported Shukhov (16's this morning and from 6's to 9/2 on-course) was another two lengths back in third with Dylan Hogan aboard for Ger O'Leary. Elusive In Paris was returned the 5/4 favourite, and he was winning for the sixth time at Dundalk, with his other two career victories coming at Killarney and Fairyhouse respectively. Feane said afterwards: "It set up lovely for him, they couldn't go quick enough for him there. He's won four times now (for me) and placed probably 10 (times) so he's a right old horse that we claimed 12 months or so ago. He's a good bit of fun for small money. "He's in on Tuesday in Killarney for a handicap." Ellmarie Holden subsequently claimed Elusive In Paris for E12,000. Additional reporting by Michael Graham
