Noel Meade and Davy Condon recorded their third Grade 1 victory over the Christmas after 11/8 favourite Pandorama landed the Knight Frank Grade 1 Novice Chase.
Condon and Davy Russell who was aboard the second Weapon’s Amnesty provided punters with a thrilling finish with Pandorama just holding on to win by a short head.
A delighted Meade said afterwards: “I don’t think he’ll run before Cheltenham now. He’s 14 kilo’s lighter today than the last day he ran and thirty pounds lighter than when he won his beginners at Punchestown.”
“So he’ll have a break now. We were aiming for the Moriarty but I think we’ll give that a miss now.”
“He comes out well fresh and he wouldn’t want the ground any quicker than that. I wasn’t 100% happy with him before today. “
Paddy Power have quoted Pandorama at 12/1 and Weapon’s Amnesty (25/1 - 12/1) for the RSA Chase at Cheltenham.
