Beaten by just a neck at Galway yesterday, Out Of Friday went a place better in the Ardmore Handicap at Tramore this afternoon.

Recording his third win of the season and his sixth overall, the Philip Byrne-trained seven-year-old was sent off a 9/4 joint-favourite (touched 4s early) in the colours of owner/breeder Tony Deegan.

Adopting his customary front-running role, the bay victor was strongly pressed by Beautiful Chaos from two-furlong pole and after a protracted tussle, just a nose separated the pair at the line.

Jamie Powell was aboard the Ross O'Sullivan-trained runner-up, who shared favouritism with the winner.

Sent off the outsider of the field at 50/1, Influential Lady kept on well to take third, two-and-a-half lengths off the principals.

"He ran a cracker last night and was just beaten," winning rider Sean Bowen commented.

"Philip said that he would run him again today and that he comes out of his runs well. He said that he ate up everything and was 100% after the run yesterday.

"He handled the track well today and stepping up to a mile-and-a-half today probably suited him.

"That's my 29th winner and I have one more to get before my claim goes to 5lb."
