Our Gar ran out a convincing winner of the opening Aon Handicap Hurdle at Punchestown under a confident ride from Barry Geraghty.
Purnella Dobb's charge was in front from six out and kept on strongly in the closing stages to post a three length win over Awkward Moment and Adrian Heskin.
Winning trainer Heskin said afterwards: "He might go to Galway we will just have to wait and see."
"He loves top of the ground so we might take advantage of that. He hasn't been easy to train but he's very genuine."
"He ran very well in bumpers on ground that he didn't like. Chasing we will be his game quite soon."
