Trainer John Burke and jockey Eoin Walsh teamed up with Our Bobby to win the John Thomas McNamara Handicap Hurdle at Listowel.
The seven-year-old gelding, who had two previous successes over hurdles, disputed at the second last, before getting the better of Jake Peter approaching the final flight.
Keeping on well close home, the son of Fairly Ransom prevailed by two-and-quarter lengths.
With the winning trainer on lead up duty, it was left to the winning jockey Eoin Walsh to comment: "The ground is well watered and they have done a lovely job and while the ground is chopped up on the inside, this lad likes having some room and doesn't like being crowded.
"His jumping can be hit-and-miss but when he sees them, he is better off.
"He ran a bit fresh and with the choke out the last day but it left him right for today. He sees out that trip well, it is great for the Burkes who are great supporters of mine and with a small team, they do well."
