Andrew Lynch completed a treble at Thurles this afternoon when partnering Fiery Oscar to success in the two-mile handicap hurdle.
Rodger Sweeney 's charge was prominent throughout and the 5/1 shot hit the front going to the second last.
7/2 joint favourite Mark Me Up soon threw down a strong challenge and got his head in front for a few strides as the pair battled it out going to the last.
Lynch got a good tune from his mount however, who edged ahead again on the run-in and asserted close home for a two-and-three-quarter length success.
"He's a tough little devil and was due that win," said Sweeney afterwards.
"He fell at Gowran (penultimate run) but I don't think he would have beaten the winner.
"He'll stay hurdling for a bit. He's a handy little horse and could snap another little handicap."
The other market leader On My Own flattened out after a mistake at the second last and could only finish fifth.
