Ormsby back in business at Dundalk Mr Ormsby made up for lost time when making a winning return to action at Dundalk tonight. Sheila Lavery's charge was having his first run since being narrowly denied by Arbourfield here in November. He reversed the form with that rival tonight as Gary Carroll produced his mount with a strong run inside the final furlong to secure a length-and-three-quarter success. “He got a stone bruise after his last run last November and we just couldn't get it right,” said Lavery. “That's the only reason he's been off so long. He's just a genuine little horse and loves this surface here. “Gary said they went good and hard up front and it was perfect for him as he just travels within himself and stays on. He thought seven was as short as he wants. “I think there is a race over seven here again next week. If he pulls out fine we'll come back.”
