In the testing ground at Gowran Onlyhuman showed the benefit of experience when landing the Ladies Day June 24th (C & G) Maiden.

The Leopardstown seventh placer from 29 days back, travelled well under Billy Lee, whilst well-backed favourite Cannonball had Colin Keane working from some way out.

Eddie Lynam has care of Onlyhuman for Michael Cooke, and the four-year-old, a gelded son of Invincible Spirit, found plenty when asked to beat Cannonball by two and three parts of a length.

"He did it well and travelled well all the way," said Lee.

"He was just looking for a bit of company but when I was going well I had to go and send him on about his business.

"He got to the line well without getting a smack so hopefully there is a bit of improvement in him.

"I think he wants good ground. That ground is heavy but loose and he wasn't really enjoying it. Being a big strong four-year-old just got him through it.

"Eddie was happy with him . He had a good run the first day, he improved off it well, and I think he'll improve again."

The Stewards requested a report from Edward Lynam, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Onlyhuman, placed first, as compared with its recent form. Ms Ailenn Lynam, Authorised representative for the trainer reported that this gelding got very upset and ran green on good to firm ground when running at Leopardstown on the 7th May. Today the animal settled very well in the preliminaries and was suited by the soft to heavy ground conditions. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the content of the report.
